Alissa Rode

Alissa Rode coordinates IDEAS’ research team and oversees research in public governance, fiscal transparency, and institutional reforms. Her current research areas are on the governance of state-owned enterprises and federal-subnational public financial management. She is the 2023 lead researcher for Malaysia in the Open Budget Survey. She has worked in various roles involving non-profit governance, strategic planning, advocacy, and policy coordination.

Alissa has a degree in English Literature from the National University of Singapore, a degree in Jurisprudence from the University of Malaya, and a professional qualification in law.
