He is a Programme Associate, and a former intern at INITIATE.MY. He is passionate about human rights and religious freedom. He and his team conducted social media monitoring on the trends of ring-wing and far-right extremism on TikTok platform post-15th general election which had gained the attention of policymakers including TikTok company. With a background in governance and public policy at UNIRAZAK, he serves as the President of the Social Sciences Association and the Deputy Secretary General in the Student Representative Council. Outside of school, Shaik actively participates in various programs related to democracy, digital resilience and policymaking. His team won the Top Policy Pitch in MY Policy Bootcamp 2022, organised by IRDP and the U.S. Embassy.
