Luminate Discussion on Inclusivity

Petaling Jaya, 4 March 2024 – INITIATE.MY participated in a discussion organised by Luminate Foundation, dedicated to fostering inclusivity in Malaysia. The event brought together a diverse ensemble of civil society organisers, independent consultants and researchers in Klang Valley.
The discussion revolved around participants’ visions of an inclusive Malaysia and collaborative strategies to realise these visions. INITIATE.MY actively contributed to the discussion by highlighting the organisation’s strengths in working with government agencies and data development to counter extremism and promote social cohesion. There is also a shared recommendation for improved funding mechanisms for CSOs to increase their work impact.
The discussion provided feedback also for future endeavours on improving inclusivity in Malaysia, identifying future needs for foundations that would want to work on this in Malaysia as well as partner organisations.
For INITIATE.MY, this was a great platform for knowledge enhancement and renewed commitment to drive positive change in Malaysia with like-minded organisations and practitioners.
