He is a dedicated human rights and institutional reforms advocate with 7 years of experience. He has a bachelor degree in Islamic Jurisprudence from IIUM. He is passionate for promoting social justice, equality and improving government systems. As an active social activist, he has worked at the intersection of human rights and institutional reforms, striving to create a better Malaysia, where everyone can live with dignity and freedom. He is currently the co-researcher for INITIATE.MY database on legislations and fatwas that impact religious freedom. Salami is responsible for incorporating new amendments of Terengganu Syariah Criminal Offences Enactment 2022 and other state fatwas regarding Freedom of Religion and Belief.
