
She is the Project Officer at INITIATE.MY, overseeing the Knowledge Hub project. This initiative brings together civil society organisations (CSOs) to combat various forms of tech abuse, including radicalism, AI misuse, child exploitation, and online abuse, offering both a virtual repository and a physical space for collaboration and policy discussions.
She holds a degree in Social Science majoring in Anthropology and Sociology from Universiti Sains Malaysia. In university, she collaborated with Kyoto University of Foreign Studies (KUFS) on research in family sociology, focusing on fatherhood and generational trauma at the community level and how they can influence the development of individual and structural beliefs. Before her role at INITIATE.MY, she served as a Communications Officer at Sisters in Islam, where she passionately advocated for Muslim women’s rights and worked on raising awareness about gender equality and justice within the Muslim community. She is dedicated to using communications and storytelling to challenge dangerous ideologies and promote inclusivity and moderation.
