The Peace Lab for Malaysian Leaders and Thinkers gives you the chance to learn, connect, and lead change. Running from October to December 2025, this three-month programme equips you to stand up for religious freedom and tolerance in practical, creative ways.
- Malaysian civil society leaders, community and youth leaders, media practitioners, and law practitioners
- Aged 18 and above
- Experience in leadership, activism, or legal practice at the community, organisational or national level
- Clear interest in freedom of religious freedom and tolerance
- Initial idea for an advocacy project to be developed and implemented during the programme
- Commitment to the entire programme from October to December 2025
- Readiness to implement an advocacy project with mentoring support
- Representation from diverse religions, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations and geographies is strongly encouraged
- Strengthen leadership, advocacy and project management skills
- Gain in-depth knowledge of religious freedom and tolerance
- Receive professional mentoring to design and implement an advocacy project
- Apply learnt knowledge through real-world initiatives such as policy briefings, media outputs or community forums
- Build a diverse national network of leaders, thinkers and practitioners from multiple sectors
- Gain visibility and recognition as an advocate for inclusive policies and social change
- Deadline for Applications: 29 September 2025, 5 PM. Early submissions are strongly encouraged.
- Notification of Results: Selected participants will receive an official email after the review process.
- Selection Criteria: The panel will assess applications based on leadership or activism experience, diversity of backgrounds, demonstrated commitment to advocacy, and the strength and feasibility of the proposed project idea.
