Terms of Reference Legal Intern (Paid)

The Legal Intern will support research and programme implementation related to security laws and governance in Malaysia and Southeast Asia. The role includes conducting legal analysis on issues such as the banning of publications, the status of private military or mercenary groups, and tech company accountability in moderating extremist content. The intern will draft policy briefs, map relevant laws, and assist in legal consultations and publications. The role also involves supporting the coordination of expert workshops, briefings, and trainings, including logistics, documentation, and partner engagement.
