Suyin Chia is a researcher and practitioner working at the intersection of technology, extremism, and civic space in Malaysia and Southeast Asia. She examines how digital harms, online manipulation, and far-right narratives shape public discourse and impact vulnerable communities. Alongside this, she works in humanitarian innovative finance at the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, where she leads initiatives on disaster risk financing and anticipatory action. Suyin holds a Master’s in Terrorism, Security and Society from King’s College London.
